Summer League Rules

  •  4, 12-minute quarters vs. 2 halves like before. We will still have one T/O per half (30 minute run time halves with 5 minute half)

  • No shot clock

  • College Faceoff rules

  • 20-second clearing count

  • Over and back after 20 seconds has expired

  • “Over and back” across the midline is allowed until the 20-second count, failure to cross the midline by the 20-second count will be ruled “Failure to Advance”

  • 20-yard sub box

  • No diving inside the crease is allowed (towards goalie)

  • 2 point arc line at 35 yards

  • No more than 5 poles on a field at one time

  • F/O rules will go by current college rules

  • Penalties time and a half

  • Penalties are served at time and a half (:45/1:30/4:30)

  • Defense and Attack release from 2 point line upon face-off possession

  • No ringers. If a team cannot field a team, they may choose to play with the players they have, OR forfeit the game and play pick up . None, period for playoffs

  • No referee abuse will be tolerated- 1st offense a 1 minute unsportsmanlike, 2 offense will be an automatic ejection, further problems will be dealt with by league administrators

  • Goalies can be subject to unsportsmanlike behavior rules. The first offense is 2-minute non-releasable penalty served by a midfielder, 2nd offense will be an automatic ejection

  • Overtime- Sudden Victory, Two, Four minute periods and if no score after that results in a tie,(Regular Season) Pure Sudden Victory in Playoffs to determine a winner

  • All players, including goalies, are subject to unsportsmanlike behavior rules

  • Defenseless hits, blind hits, hits to a defenseless player, or ANY hits that are deemed by the official as using excessive force where it appears the intent is to hurt or intimidate is subject to immediate game ejection for the 1st offense. 2nd offense is subject to review by administrators and possible non-refundable league ejection
